Although a relatively new non-profit arts organization, the Foundation already has a proven track record of accomplishments:
  1. Underwriting expenses to bring ballet professionals to WW to perform and/or teach Master Classes for area ballet students.
    • March 2015: Phyllis Rothwell & Andrew Taft from Ballet Idaho;  
    • March 2016: Kathleen Sinclair from Arizona Ballet;              
    • November 2016: Constance Stine, of Breakaway Pointe in Arizona;
    • April 2017:  Mark & Danielle Tucker, principles with Eugene Ballet, Oregon.;
    • February 2018:  Victoria Pulkkinen, previously danced with Pacific Northwest Ballet and served as a guest teacher with the Monchengladbach Ballet Company in Germany.

  2. Distributing over 100 tickets (valued at $3,000) for children and a parent to see the local production of Holly Claus: The Ballet of Dreams at no charge, through social service agencies and schools in December of 2015.

  3. Providing financial assistance to the Danza Classica Ballet Company who competed at the Europe Dance Grand Prix outside of Barcelona, Spain and received 1st place in Ballet and 2nd place in Lyrical dance, in the summer of 2016. 

  4. Providing financial assistance to the Danza Clasica Ballet Company as it participated in the Fermo Dance Festival in Italy as the honored guest performers at both evening performances.  The Company will attend these festivals again this summer, 2018.

  5. Awarding 11 partial tuition scholarships for local students to enroll in semester-long ballet classes.
  • This spring we hold our 5th annual Tutus & Tapas fundraising gala at the Gesa Powerhouse Theatre in Walla Walla. This is an evening filled with delights to the senses:  local award-winning wines, paired with seasonal and locally sourced small plates, an exciting live auction of travel or dining activities, and a 30-45 minute ballet performance.
