Although a relatively young non-profit arts organization, the Foundation already has a proven track record of accomplishments:
  1. Underwriting expenses to bring ballet professionals to WW to perform and/or teach Master Classes for area ballet students.
    • March 2015: Phyllis Rothwell & Andrew Taft from Ballet Idaho;  
    • March 2016: Kathleen Sinclair from Arizona Ballet;              
    • November 2016: Constance Stine, of Breakaway Pointe in Arizona;
    • April 2017:  Mark & Danielle Tucker, principles with Eugene Ballet, Oregon.;
    • February 2018:  Victoria Pulkkinen, previously danced with Pacific Northwest Ballet and served as a guest teacher with the Monchengladbach Ballet Company in Germany.
    • November 2018: Kevin Jenkins, award winning choreographer and dance film director, from Philadelphia.

  2. Distributing over 100 tickets (valued at $3,000) for children and a parent to see the local production of Holly Claus: The Ballet of Dreams at no charge, through social service agencies and schools in December of 2015.

  3. Providing financial assistance for the Danza Classica Ballet Company to compete at the Europe Dance Grand Prix in Spain, summer of 2016, and again in Italy, summer of 2018, where they received top honors in Ballet, Lyrical dance and Choreography.

  4. Similarly we gave financial assistance to the youth ballet Company in both 2016 and 2018 as it participated in the Fermo Dance Festival in Italy where they were invited as honored guest performers at both evening performances.

  5. Awarding scholarships to 16 local students to enroll in semester-long ballet classes. Another 4 students received scholarship support for their summer intensives tuition.
  • This spring we hold our 6th annual Tutus & Tapas gala at the Walla Walla Community College in their Performing Arts Center. Please join us Saturday, April 13, 2019 and share your support for ballet in Walla Walla.
